Privacy policy

This page explains what data RepoLadder collects, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: the site sets no cookies, the waitlist stores only your email and what you asked to hear about, and we never sell your data.

  1. Who we are

RepoLadder is currently operated by FrontDesk, LLC. FrontDesk, LLC is responsible for the personal data described here (the “controller” under GDPR). Questions or requests: hello@repoladder.com.

  2. Visiting the site

Hosting. The site is hosted on Firebase Hosting, a Google service. To deliver each page, Google processes your IP address and basic browser details, and may keep them briefly in its server logs under its own policies. See the Firebase privacy information and Google’s privacy policy.

Analytics. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and doesn’t follow you across sites. It records page views and visits, the page’s path, the site that referred you, your country, browser, operating system and device type, and how fast the page loaded (Core Web Vitals). Cloudflare handles the request, including your IP address, under its own policy.

Fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google when a page opens. See Google Fonts privacy.

  3. Cookies

The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, so there’s no cookie banner.

  4. The waitlist

What we store. Your email address, which products you picked (GitHub Action, hosted maps, or both), and when you signed up and last updated your choice. Nothing else in our database: no IP address and no browser details.

Abuse protection. To stop abuse, the sign-up server briefly uses your IP address to limit how many sign-ups come from one network. It keeps only a scrambled (hashed) form in memory and never saves it. Google, which runs the sign-up server, may keep standard request logs (such as your IP address and browser details) for a limited time under its own policies.

Use. We use your email for one thing: one email when each product you picked ships. No newsletter and no confirmation email. We never sell it or share it with anyone else.

Storage. It’s stored in Google Cloud Firestore in the United States.

Retention and removal. We keep it until you ask us to remove it. To be removed, email hello@repoladder.com from that address.

  5. Demo pages

The live demos under /demo load fonts from Google Fonts. The first time you change a demo’s detail level, they also load a layout library (elkjs) from jsDelivr, a public code CDN. Your browser contacts Google and jsDelivr directly; we get nothing from it. See Google Fonts privacy and jsDelivr’s privacy policy.

  6. The RepoLadder plugin and CLI

The analysis runs on your machine. Claude reads a short summary of your repo in your own Claude Code session, under your agreement with Anthropic. The diagram is published as a private Artifact, and only when you ask. Usage stats are off unless you say yes when asked once. If you do, each build sends a fixed set of fields: the version, whether it worked, an error code, a size range, how long it took, the mode, and a random install id. They never include names, paths or code. The full details, including how to turn it off, are in the project’s privacy notice.

  7. Who we share data with

Only the providers that run the site for us: Google (hosting, database, server functions and fonts), Cloudflare (analytics) and jsDelivr (demo pages). We don’t sell or share personal information, as California law defines those words, and we don’t use it for advertising.

  8. Your rights

    • You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and you can object to how we use it. Email hello@repoladder.com. We’ll reply within one month.
    • If you’re in the EU, the UK or the EEA, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
    • If you’re in California, you have the same rights to know, correct and delete. We don’t sell or share your data, and we won’t treat you differently for using your rights.
  9. Where your data is stored

Our providers store data in the United States, Google for the site and the waitlist. If you’re outside the US, your data is transferred there under those providers’ standard safeguards.

  10. Children

RepoLadder is a developer tool and isn’t meant for children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect their data. If you think a child signed up, email us and we’ll delete it.

  11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use waitlist emails, we’ll email the people on it first.

  12. Contact

    FrontDesk, LLC, hello@repoladder.com.
